Water temp:  78-82 depending on how close to the discharge area

Wind:  SSE 5-10mph

Great day of fishing today.  Several boats out there and only 2 other kayaks......one with a trolling motor.  Started off the morning with a bang.  Several fish caught from 7am-8am and then it shut off.  Pulled a few here and there and then right before we left on the right bank by the boat launch they were schooling and pulled in a few more.  We didn't catch a single fish in the discharge area.......kind of weird.  Most of the fish caught today were off the reed banks with small submerged pockets of grass/hydrilla.  If the grass/hydrilla was thick...it was a waste of time.  

Threw an assortment of rattle traps, cranks, spinners, poppers, jigs, buzz baits and worms.......but by far the best was a TR rattlesnake (watermelon red) and a TR watermelon red brush hog.  Caught about 15 fish total between my buddy and I.  The smallest was 16".....the average was 18" and we had a few pigs that hit 22".  Here are a few pics.
