Onward thru the fog!

It was a crowded lake Sunday. It was a "take a number to work a spot" kinda day.

We took our number 5 and fished the back of the big cove we call the Mother. We were the 5th boat in. For 6 hours, we fished that cove and boated 11 up to 4.5lbs. Seemed all were fat buck bass and not one femme.

Slow dropped dark colored worms and jigs.

Slow day fishing while listening to the Cowboys lose.

sounds like the same thing that was happening at Fayette - not hot and heavy, but it wasn't dead, either.

Water temp was 83ish at the discharge and low 60's was as cold as we fished...we caught about 10 on both moving baits and slow fished plastics.

We were on the lake at sunrise and off about 2pm...here's the biggest of the day, taken on a tilapia colored H2O lipless crank...

We were at Bastrop Sunday too. I took my 10 year old son with me for his first real fishing. First time for him to fish artificials. We boated 12 and 6 were his. He had me 4-2 by 10am LOL. 2 Dinks and the rest were 1+ to 3lb. I broke off one that might have went around 5-6. We fished mostly by tha dam since it was easier for him to drop a slow weightless worm and feel the bites without snagging on stuff. Caught one on a chrome crank.
