Fished today with my buddy One-Mo-cast. Started out in the discharge,
no schooling fish but did manage 3 fish. One about 2 1/2 to 3 lbs, one 4 lb 12 oz, and a 5 1/2 . All 3 were caught on white flukes. Moved on to try to find someother fish. Caught 5 more on shallow running crankbaits, around trees in the cove west of North Shore ramp. Headed over to the boyscout camp, no bites = no fish there.
Here's pics of the 5 1/2 and the 4. Didn't get one of the 4 3/4.
By the way it was pretty cold out.

Nice Fish. I really like bastrop when the reeds are not scattered all over the surface of the lake. Does anyone why it gets like that? Makes trolling a pain. Still love Bastrop when the time is right.
That stuff is eel grass. It is both the blessing and curse of that lake. Trolling motors and outboards cut it up and it really can be aggravating for people like myself that fish alot of crankbaits. I know this is silly but I swear that the wind blows from the south Monday thru Friday and pushes the grass to one side of the lake. Then the wind blows out of the north on Saturday, pushing that stuff back across the lake, screwing my fishing up! LOL!
