Fished Bastrop Sunday 30th 6:00 am to 2:00 pm  water temp. 85 at main lake area. 5-10 mph wind, hot  air temp. 95. Caught 30 plush fish, 16 inch to 18 inch strong fighting fish. Caught a few shallow early on a crank bait and a horny toad. Headed out to deep water 15 to 30 ft deep. Caught most of my fish on a 1/2 oz jig with a twin tail grub, watermelon color, drop shot on a few,  and used  a fluke on a 3/4 oz jig head for a few more. Did see some schooling activity, fish did not stay on the surface for long. Was able to cast to the surface activity, let my bait drop 10 to 15 ft then get bit hard. jerk your rod out of your hand strikes.  Lots of fun. Not sure if the bass have been schooling for long but it will start soon.   [smiley=cool.gif]
