Awesome report!

Gene and I fished last Thursday and had the same results. Mainly 2 to 2.5lb fish. Lost several 3-5lb bass, do to topwater fishing. Wish I had a few of those opportunities back. Would of used larger topwater lures and hooks.

Fished edges of grass with any topwater plug, baby torpedo's and zell pops.

Overall caught a lot of bass, just did not land too many over 3lbs. Those 13 inchers felt like they were on steroids....

Overall great fishing this time of year on Bastrop.

Main area's we focused, Discharge early. Then move to grass patch on right side of dam. Fished edges of grass under powerlines. Again, topwater bite all day!!!

Re: Bastrop   Fri. 11-13

what is "Doodle socking the grass holes"?
Re: Bastrop   Fri. 11-13

That sounds sooooo bad!
Re: Bastrop   Fri. 11-13

Doodle socking to holes; a term used when you see an opening in the grass and you drop your lure into it.
You can take it from here. Had great results with it.
Re: Bastrop   Fri. 11-13

Do you think that will work in LA
Re: Bastrop   Fri. 11-13
