Dude, I've got to loose some weight..

As for the fishing, If my partner would have pulled threw and caught just one keeper we would have walked away with the thing :p. The wind was up, which was a good thing. Thanks to Sam for having jumper cables. If it wouldn't have been for him we might still be out there.

Just one question for you ABFer's that fish the lake regularly. How many crank baits do ya'll go through. Those tarps suck big time. I actualy went diving in a few times just to retrieve the bait I had been catching all my fish on b/c it was the only one I had. I wish we could have had pics of me holding Z's legs while he apple bobbed for his lures off the tarp. Good Times ;D

Hey guys I think it was a good success!! Everyone cooperated except mother nature. I thought the cold weather was over so that very night before when I was getting the skeet skeet ready I took out my hoodies and what not. Sure enough a curveball was thrown......and being paired with my girlfriend of course she was given most of my gear to stay warm, which she still didnt, and I froze my a** off.

I caught around 20 bass that were 13 - 13 3/4 inches. I had one break me off that was a pig. But it was just one of those days. I was unable to run to where I wanted to due to cold girlfriend, ran back to the ramp around ten due to sick girlfriend, but all in all it was a good day. I fished all new water and I guess you could say I cancelled out alot of water. Bunch of fish with around 4 different techniques. Just werent on the good ones.............

No problem on the freebies.....I will have more Lake Fork Tackle goodies at the tourney after next.

HEY Z also dont forget that X-TOOLS weighs in lbs and oz.....Most scales measure in tenths and what not. So dowdy was right at 13 lbs rather than just over 12. I will call you this week to detail next month.

It was a great 1st tourney............and great to have T-Bag back after a year lay-off. We lost our net before the 1st fish came in and ended up landing 11 keepers......a couple of top-water right away and then I did not put down my spinner-bait the rest of the day. The WIND was our friend..........catching them on the SB on windy main-lake areas that had shade. Awesome fun and turnout. Thanks Z and Blake for all your work and let's keep this going!

Good to see you guys fishing Austin, it's no Sommerville but at times she can put out some very nice fish!

In regards to the crankbaits on Austin, our general rule of thumb is:

Hang a Megabass, go get it no matter what.
Lucky Craft, depends on how windy or choppy it is.
Anything else, forgetta 'bout it.

Looking forward to the next Grudge!

I gotta say for the first tournament I've ever fished in I couldn't ask for a better group of guys, everybody seemed laid back and was just there for a good time. Being the new guy of the club did put a little pressure on me though and those first few hours were pretty intense, but after I decided to just relax and have fun it seemed like everything fell into place, couldn't get any keepers but I did manage to pull out the 4.8 which was 1 ounce shy of first place big bass...I was more than satisfied. I'm excited about being in this club and I'm ready to get on the water again with everybody. Hopefully next time around we can have some good weather...see you guys on somerville.
