I took two guests to lake Austin a couple of days ago we started at 6:30am. Good thing because 7 of our 19 fish were caught by 7:30am All the early fish were caught against a wall in less than 3ft. of water on worms. After that we looked for structure in the shade, under docks under trees etc.. It was a pretty good day considering its mid summer and all. Mark Taylor, one of my guests, caught a 26" Large mouth Approx. 8lbs. on 6" watermelon/red zoom worm. This beat his former record largemouth by 4lbs. He was pretty stoked! Super long fish, but kinda skinny. My other guest Robert caught several 4lbers along with his other fish Their 5 biggest fish averaged around 21lbs. We caught several doubles. Attached is one of doubles! The fish that sprung a leak swam off just fine. P.S. no fish were killed during this experiment!
