Went out in the late afternoon.  Tried something completely different.  Strolled a lipless crankbait in 10 to 14 feet of water until I got bit, then stopped and casted the area.  From 5 to 7 probably caught 25 fish.  Most were big sunfish, up to 1.25 lbs to 12 inches.  One white that was 2lbs, a number of dink LMB, with a couple keepers thrown in.   Hooked something on a cast that stripped drag until it came unbuttoned

It seems all species of fish grow large in LA. I plan on a short trip Saturday morning. Thanks for the report!

Check out my new post under Striped?Hybrid/White bass. New State catch and release record and new water body records set for Red Breast Perch by my 6 year old grand son.

12 inches, 1.38 lbs on HEB Four Points scale. We put her back alive to raise a bunch more. These perch are one of the least utilized resources in LA.
