EA and I took the kid out today in hopes of getting him on some of the fish we found yesterday. Fished from 10 - 12 pm and within the first five minutes I had the first bite.

7 lbs 13 ozs

After that The Flying Potato caught back to back fish.

6 lbs

and

5 lbs 12 ozs

We also had another one that went 3 lbs or so. Another great day, I mean 2 hours, on Austin!!!

Y'all better get out there before they fill the lake back up...it's like shooting fish in a barrel!

Amazing, simply amazing.  I am so jealous you have no idea.  Great fish guys.  Especially you Hollywood.  I told you that you'd nail a 5lb+ today.  Good for you! All fish on cranks again?

You guarantee me a 5lb+ and I will take the three of you out for dinner and a few coldies.  Hell, I will even paddle you around in the boat if I have to  ;)

No secrets or honey holes guys. From the pics it's pretty easy to tell that we are launching at City Park, fishing mid lake and fishing the deeper water with mid to deep diving cranks. Color does not seem to matter as we have been catching them on both shad and perch patterns.

I will say it's been pretty phenomenal for us the past two trips and we were joking around yesterday about wasting our time with 7 and 8 lbers...time to get that double digit!

I think as the lake gets lower these fish will get easier to catch...no skill involved here, just gotta get out there and hope to get lucky!
