Fished this AM with 1EyedJack. 6am to 10am. Stayed above City Park. Ended the day with 4 keeps to 16lbs, and a couple of dinks. Better fish caught on swimbaits.

Nice fish indeed! You should have seen it in person. The fight was even better. I think I got more excited than Alan did I continue to suck it up on LA, but whoever fishes with me seems to stick some pigs (I'm starting to think I'm a good luck charm just to make myself feel better). I didn't get any pigs on LA, but I sure did in two other spots in Austin this weekend. Set my personal best from a boat/kayak (7lb9oz) and from the bank (4lb and then topped it with a 7lb1oz). Alan, it was great to finally meet you in person. I can see why so many people speak highly of you on this forum. Hope we can fish together again soon!

Great fish Alan. I tried the swimbait yesterday right before I got out of the water and had one hammer it but I missed the hookset. I will be using them more and more in my routine.

I caught that fish or 1 just like him today near the same area on a broken Shimano Convergence rod, 2/3's of the rod to be exact using TX rigged WW, a personal best for me and what a thrill from a Kayak

Nice Fish Alan. I keep throwing the swimbaits in hope of catching a pig like that one..even with the advice you've given I just haven't had that kind of success. You've definitely got IT when it comes to swimbaits.
