Lake Travis to host the 2nd Annual George Cook Memorial Open Bass Tournament September 18, 2010
The 2nd annual George Cook Memorial Open Bass Tournament will be hosted by Jones Brothers Park on Lake Travis September 18th 2010, presented by Texas Boat World of Harker Heights.
The tournament is a team format where up to 2 fishermen per boat compete for cash and sponsor-provided products. Registration is available online at
www.faithanglernetwork.com or at supported location in the Central Texas area. Late registration will be at Jones Brothers Park in Jonestown Texas Saturday September 18th from 5-7AM
The tournament hours will be from 6AM to 2PM and weigh in will begin at 1:30PM
Entry Fees for the tournament will be $100 per team. Rules and directions are available on our website.
The tournament is dedicated to George Cook owner of Geneva Bait and Tackle, George devoted his retirement to providing outstanding products and services to the fishing communities across the State of Texas. He was involved with the Bass Masters Casting Kids, Kids Unlimited, Wounded Warriors, Fishing for Freedom, and supported almost every charity and benefit tournament he was asked to get involved with, Geneva Bait and Tackle supported many Bass Clubs and tournament trails including Ignition Bass, Fishers of Men, Couples Tournament Trail, and many more. George passed last July in a car accident, and FAN has committed to continue his legacy supporting events that he cherished and continue to support youth and kid fishing events.
Proceeds from the tournament will go towards Faith Angler Network George Cook Memorial Fund to further promote and create education opportunities for the youth in our community.
