I just remembered this is the 2nd time an 11# or better has been caught from the back of my boat. Funny thing was I caught this one off the back too after a quick retie. Maybe there is something to that.

Yeah, I was so worn out I just woke up from an afternoon nap. I owe Curt for that he pointed to an area and said he hadn't hit that spot like a guide would do. Then on her second jump by the boat she threw my worm hook and he caught her in the net!! I owe you lunch and a case of beer. Yeah I keep a sewers measuring tape in my tackle bag and couldn't believe she was 25" girth. I estimated her at 25-25.5" long on the measuring tape (Curt didn't have a stick over 14"). The only keeper I caught, but who cares ;D
I got her off a steep bank on a watermelon 7" power worm tx-rigged - nothing special.
She was released unharmed back into LA. I will be looking into getting a replica made from the dozen pictures we snapped of her.

Yeah Curt I checked my scale - As a geeky Mechanical Engineer I just verified my hand scale with some hand weights and couple 4 lb bags of sugar. It is working good.
