Noob questions: How does the 2/8 date work? I'm assuming you can choose to fish either lake. Same for 3/29, but it's a partner tournament, right? Thanks!

Yes on those dates you can choose either lake. I think the OAS tourney you will have the option of LBL, LA, or Decker but im not 100%. The partner thing looks new but it appears you are correct, only for the OAS tourney.

Hmm... Did a bit more reading, and the "partnered" event appears to be a partnership between KATS and OAS to host the tournament. Doesn't seem to be a 2-person team format. Obviously, official confirmation would be greatly appreciated!

If you go to the fishkats.com or austinkayakfishing.com (the official KATS forum) you can email or post up a question and Kristian will usually answer you the same day.

Couple of questions here...I want to fish a kayak tournament just to get my feet wet but don't feel like I'm quite ready to fish a trail. Is there any way to only fish one event or do I have to participate in all of them? Thanks.PB 10.2

You can fish as many or as little as you desire. If you want a chance to fish the championship you have to fish at least 5 and qualify for points. There are 2 divisions also if you don’t want to compete against the seasoned vets.

KATS does a "social" category if you just want to fish for fun. Either way you dont have to fish every event. They did change sign up this year though. You must register online, they arent doing "day of" registration.
