Sorry if my sense of humor goes too far, but the "stripper" / striper joke is like a good fart.....Funny every time.
Definitely a great fish!
I'm not sure which measurement on the "stripper" you are referring to, but 31 inches is too small for a bust, too large for a waist, and too small for hips. I would have released that stripper and...

It definitely matters for the fishing, and I would avoid it for the next few months. Last summer was very similar to this and SA Bay was too fresh (almost drinkable) most of the summer, at least from...
Even though the LCRA has been clear that Lake Travis homes are not a priority to protect from flood waters, I heard the lake closure is partly to prevent more wave action from hitting homes. Lots of...
Ro's patented 3-way rig is easy to use and will truly put more fish in the boat, if for no other reason it's two baits in the strike zone. It doesn't tangle at all because the crank bait stays well...
I was only kidding, I figured it was Oregon. I worked for Nike 5 years and had to travel there periodically, but never fished. I will reach out to some old co-workers and see if anyone knows...

Thank you for taking the time to write this article. I might still be LMB fishing had this article come out years before, but instead I find myself chasing whites and crappie. Oddly, I think I catch...
We did not try the Army Hole. Even though it was cold, the reds were in slightly off color, semi-soft bottom, knee deep water.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. The white bass was caught in Lake Austin on a Jet Diver with a pet spoon.
And yes, this is an older model Yeti, but probably their best. I'm not impressed...
Was lucky to take a week off from work and take my boys to POC for a little cast and blast. We went down Sunday night after the cold front. Knowing it was going to be windy, we opted for the blast...

They said it was drowning out my green nav light. It is close to it, but seriously.

Sounds like the APD boats are going to have a field day. I got pulled over for a purple LED inside my boat. The people in this parade might be going straight to da slammer.

"nothing but small cats and crappie..."
It's slow fishing except for those pesky crappie? That's like saying you went treasure hunting but all you found was some gold coins. Any spot holding...
Instead of counting on all these governmental agencies to come through, we might should contact PETA. They would be horrified that poor innocent carp were released in an unsustainable environment,...

Thanks again for hosting such a fun, laid back time. We had a blast and feel like we owe you. You put a lot of work and money in to making it fun for all. Let's take turns hosting so...

Did a little pre-fishing this morning (I'm already at work) and was not able to find any good concentrations of whites. I did troll for an hour and caught 5 legal whites and two nice blacks, but...

In general white bass fishing is a social gathering at the dock and on the water. There are no secret spots or secret baits, although some may think otherwise. If possible, I would like to bring my...
My advice is white bass are easy to catch when you are pickle fishing, but hard when you target them. Much like the 12 point buck that shows at your feeder all year and then disappears Nov 1st. So...
I know I'm late to this party, but let's look at what TPWD might say about this ridiculous accusation of the possibility there is a minnow eating carp out there. Not only that, let's all imagine what...
Not really a beach, but Tom Hughes Park is pretty cool for hanging out and swimming. It's off the beaten path as well.
I understand the concern, but isn't wearing waders like using half of a condom. It seems like most of the risk (assuming no pre-existing legs wounds) would come from cuts on your hands and from...

Nice fish! Somebody needs to take the time and go claim all the crappie records. Lakes Austin, Travis, and Decker all have relatively small crappie records.
Wonder if Bass Pro has a certified...
Good People, Good Food, and Good Fishing = Good Times!
Glad Eric and I could make this trip. We had a blast.
Thanks Ro for making it happen.
I was also stopped recently for a safety inspection and told it had to be taller than me. Thanks for the clarification.
I was also told the small purple led strip on the back of my boat needed to...
