Johnson motor wont start
just bought a boat came with a 70hp Johnson (1977 model)
but unfortunately the motor is hard to start.. I must spray starting fluid otherwise it wont start, I just remove and clean all 3 carburetors, replace and seals, replaced all spark plugs, changed new fuel line and also new fuel pump to.. but still the same..
so does anyone know how to fix it..please I need help..

This is a good place to ask questions like yours.
However, be prepared to provide s/ns etc. These guys will want details.
My own opinion is that it may be the choke mechanism or fuel pump. These old school 2 stroke motors are notoriously fussy about cold starting but once you figure out the proper sequence they are great. I've got a merc version and as long as I choke it hard at the beginning its great.
