+1 on the Cabela AGM. When the batteries in the new boat need to be replaced I'll go with the Cabelas branded AGM. Ran them in the old boat for 10 years. If you do some detailed research on batteries you will find that there are probably only a couple manufacturers in the US. They build for everybody. One of the largest is Johnson Controls, Which I know from Building Energy Management Systems. Johnson is also the supplier for most of the auto interiors (plastics) in the US

I've never had an issue with EverStart Marine batteries from Wal-Mart. The price is pretty hard to beat as well at 99 bucks.

May end up swapping mine and getting the bigger ones. Then swap them out every year like I did years ago for new ones

All four batteries in my boat and the ones in the truck and car are AGM now. Cabela's in the boat...

I love them. I will never again perform battery maintenance or clean up an acid mess from a dying battery. My Corolla's positive battery terminal was eaten away by what looked like a hawaiian shaved ice mass of acid fuzz. Never again.

I bought 2 Everstart deep cycles from Walmart 13 months ago. Didn't get to use the boat but twice but kept them charged. One just died and won't even make a connection to the charger.
Found out they have free replacement for 12 months only, but nothing after that. I wouldn't recommend them at any price.
