Ummm yeah, If that SKEETER is anywhere near your budget I would try and make this deal work. That seems like a steal to me. With that SHO , you're going to save so much money in oil / fuel cost. Like I said, if it's in your budget, it's a no brainer holmes.

currently thinking park at angle in garage and get the 18fter, that way Im not tempted to upgrade again until I can get a 250 which will be a while.

I have a 2006 Nitro 482 with a 115 HP Mercury Optimax (17' 9") and it will run 54 with me in it (I'm 6'0" and 235)
I have no problem getting up on plane with me and another big boy in the boat....hahaha

my buddy has an older model 16ft gruman and it is comfortable for two full grown dudes to fish out of...
The only thing different is the amount of storage, and the size of the livewell...
that being said, it is slower, and takes a little while to get where you are going with a smaller motor, which means turning around to head back to the ramp a little sooner when you are fishing in tournys...
