Damn, back to the drawing board with Skeeters in mind, I did not know the news ones were in my range. For some reason thought they were all over 50k.
A lot will depend on what can fit in the garage as well.sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego

Yea it's nice but overpriced for what I am looking for. If im going 17ft I can get a brand spanking new Skeeter or Triton for 20k, why would I pay 25 for boat he's probably already run on the lakesometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego

I would personally go with the triton. The hull design is better for ride and speed. I believe the layout is also nicer. But the only triton I have fished out of is a tr 21x. Not a fair representation of a 17 footer.

Did you ask Charles whited about a sweetheart deal on a triton? I think he is on their pro staff.

No I am not acquainted with him. Thanks for the Triton nod, I don't know why but I am really drawn to that boat, esp in the yellow/black color scheme.sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego

He is "barefoot guide service". He comes off super grumpy but is actually pretty cool. I guess I come off grumpy too, but I'm not cool.
I will have my buddy Bennett find out if he can swing a deal, I figure it can't hurt.

I have a 17'6 champion with a 130 yamaha. Loaded down with gear and 2 people I max out around 53 mph. It's great on gas and more importantly fits in my home garage with a couple inches to spare. If I had more garage space I would have bought a bigger boat for the extra space and comfort on rough water. If you are patient, you can get a killer deal on new or slightly used 18-20 footer. If I'm not mistaken, Craig got a smoking deal on his legend which is a lot of boat for the money.
