    Need advice on a prop

My motor is a 96 225 johnson. Prop on it is a 3 blade 14 1/2 x 24 pitch. Boat jumps on plane really fast but I have to watch my rpms on top end. I know it needs more pitch but can't afford a new prop. I have found a barely used 4 blade 13 3/4 x 25 pitch. What should I expect to happen?

I have 2 25p renegades and a 26p raker if you want to try one out.
There are only two types of bass boats. Thats a BassCat and a Non-BassCat.

Tiny, what kind of hull are you running? Make/lenght/etc? Some heavier hulls really respond well to 4-bladers due to increased lift. If you don't take Tommy up on his offer, I have a 24P 4-Blade Trophy Plus that will help to drop your RPM's.

Typically a 4-blade will turn lesser RPM's than a 3-blade of the same pitch and diameter. If your revving too high with your current 24P 3-blade, I would try a 24P 4-Blade or a 25P 3-Blade and see how the hull responds. What kind of RPM are you running WOT?

I'm running a 201 pro xl stratos. I went ahead and bought the 4 blade 25p. $200 couldn't turn it down even if I just use it as a spare. I think it burned my hand when I picked it up. I'm gonna try it out this weekend if Mrs. Clause let's me get away from Christmas prep duties. Anyway with the 3 blade 24p my speed tops out at 63 on gps at 4900 to 5100 rpms with way more throttle. I have leaned in to her once and did gain 2 mph but at 6200 rpm. I want all she will do at 5500 rpm.
