Replace TM Rope
I thought I saw a post on here awhile back on ...How to replace the rope on your troll motor mount. Have Motorguide 84 TE w/ gator mnt. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

If yours isn't broken yet then you should be able to follow it visually to where it ties off on the release. Just feed your new rope in the same way. Better yet, replace it with the coated steel cables they have for this purpose...can get them at Academy.

I second the wire rope. I just went down to Home Depot and bought a 2 or 3 feet of wire rope and a few clamps. I haven't had any problems since. I think it's easier to put up now since the wire rope doesn't stretch like the orginal cord.
