    Kingsland boat ramp condition?

I haven't been on LBJ since water came back to Travis, and I usually put in LBJ at the HB Marina. However, I want to fish the north part of the lake and I recall the Lions Club ramp was a maintenance disaster when I launched there a few years back.

So, anybody have any knowledge about the Lions Club ramp? Alternately, where else can I launch a bass boat up there?
Son, we live in a world with lakes, and those lakes have to be guarded by men with fishing rods.

I would find somewhere else. That Lions Club ramp is just a place to mess up your boat and trailer.

That's what I figured. So where else on the north side?

As far as I know Blue Briar Park in Granite Shoals is the closest public ramp for fishing up north. It's been a couple months since I put in at lions ramp in Kingsland. You were able to launch but go really, really slow and stay on the upriver side of the ramp.

There is a huge hole in the middle of the ramp that could be an axle-breaker. Fortunately I was notified by a local angler putting in before I did.

Probably a little far for the folks from Austin, but from highway 29 head to the Heart of Texas... They are up the Colorado arm close to where the white bass run happens. Take Hoover Valley Road. Owners are great folks. $5.00 to launch. Get there early to park close to the ramp...
