Lake Travis fishing
I’m new to lake fishing and boats. Anyone catching on lake travis. If so what & where. I’ve been out the last 3 weeks and skunkoed. I’m fishing mornings 6-12

if you want to chase catfish on Lake Travis
Don't know what type of fish you're after, but here's a private message I received from another forum member about this time of year five years ago:This is a good time for cats, earlier this month was not. They do not feed when they are spawning. Now it is post spawn on Travis and they should be eating well. I'd find flats around creek mouths, try to be in 30-40 feet of water. Cut perch or cut shad is great bait. But so is the HEB marinated chicken thighs for fajitas. The thighs are pretty cheap, you can cut little chunks (half dollar size) off and put that on a circle hook. Drop your baits down about 2 feet off the bottom then sit back and wait.

I went out to Pace Bend Park tonight. Only caught one little Guadalupe bass on a deep dive crankbait in about 10-15' of water. There is a ton of great cover and a few good coves that I would think would hold good fish. I have caught fish along the waterfall/cliff by "the Island" across from Pace Bend Park. We were using flukes I believe.
