Awesome Paul! I told you he was in there! I remember you said he would have been lurking there a long time. I'm glad y'all are aquainted now.

I saw your car there some day last week when I was driving home. There has got to be a couple more that size in there.

Sunday, the boy and I rode bikes to the pond and we each caught good fish.

    Hey Jeremy, quick question,

EDIT: Referring to the boat from your previous post Jeremy

what boat is that? I've been looking for a more affordable option for fishing boat(s) (have been thinking a fishing kayak, I've got an SUV w/ a roof rack so could use that for transport, but I can also manage a trailer) and don't think I can afford financing a 15k+ boat at the moment.... this guy looks pretty good and I see a fishing pole mount (or two?)....

Just wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing a few details

    Thanks!

PS. PM-ing you the same EDIT: just kidding, you don't accept PMs haha....

My boat is a 1994 Bass Tracker Bantam 3x. The latest version of this boat is called the Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler and is only sold through Bass Pro Shops.

Academy sells the Pelican Raider 10e. I personally would like to buy a Bass Hunter Bass Baby because it has huge plastic wheels built into the stern so I don't wear a hole in the hull when I drag it from the truck bed down the boat ramp to the water.

I have no trailer or space for a trailer. I have a long bed pickup that I use for transport, and I set the boat on saw horses behind the fence in my side yard between uses. It weighs 130# so I can drag it around by myself.

All of these boats above are 10' ABS plastic twin sponson with removable seats and transoms for motors.

I saw on Austin Craiglist last month the Academy version for half retail. I bought mine for 200 and that included a 25# thrust trolling motor (but no battery).

I'm very pleased with my boat. I'm jealous of the speed the kayakers have, but I prefer being able to stand and stretch or cast. Also, I can take a friend.

You may not find great info on ABS boats, but you might come through with a new hairstyle.

Agree. I fished Lake Pflugerville from 4 am to 11 am. I caught seven fish, so average one caught per hour fished.

On the way home, I stopped at two ponds. First pond yielded nothing after fifteen minutes. Then I stopped at my neighborhood pond and caught a small bass on the first and only cast made. Then on to my son's soccer game.
