Last week we had 47 teams, big bass was 11.7 and the winning sack was 26.11. But it only took 17 for both 3rd and 4th place checks, so it's still anybody's game out there. Great to see so many good sacks and big fish being brought in this late in the year. The boat scenery has also been pretty exceptional of late, makes for a great time prefishing just driving around and "checking out spots."
Just a reminder.....Ski Shores is staying open until 12am after the event, they are also donating $30 in Ski Shores bucks to the first team out of the money.
Just got confirmation on the party trinity coming out tomorrow night, Brocraft, Party Boy, and PJ bringing it back old school.
CSB time. The first bass tournament I ever fished was the SkeeterMatt Lake Travis Jackpot, December of 2011 on the Brocraft, PB and PJ came in what I can only assume was 4th place, since T-Dub didn't show the results after the top three. That's also the day that I met Brian Booker and many others, been a whirlwind three years. Made some friends for life along the way. Single tear, love you guys.
Now Ping Pong eyes was about 6 months later, but yes she was a toad indeed. That was probably like the 3rd or 4th tournament we fished together, we used to hit the Travis tuesday nighters on the reg. Then go back and party with chicks half our age in Rooms To Go parking lots...
Fun fished last night with Booker, Ando, and Grant, we caught a ton of fish. Had at least two check cashing sacks on the boat. They are really biting well this summer on Lake Austin.
These were my best two slaunchbellies for the night.....
I have not fished one of these in a few weeks since my ride has other commitments and my boat motor is being rebuilt. Anyone need a backseater let me know. PM me and I can be at the 360 bridge in no time with 12 beverages of your choice and a double meat double cheese if required. And yes i will take care of the entry so you know what to expect.
Man, you guys kicked some serious butt out there! I will be there next week for sure. Now that I have my gas pedal.........I mean engine trouble.... sorted out. My boat misses lake Austin. And with the hawgs patrolling the shoreline I do t think I can miss it.
Absolute worst Wed Nighter for me ever. There was a Democratic fundraising dinner being hosted in a house down the street and the President was in attendance so I fished the entire tournament without consuming a single alcoholic beverage.
I'm beginning to wonder if I really like to fish or just use it as an excuse to drink with my buddies.
