Probably going to have to resort to being a jackpotter next season due to my wife and I expecting our second kiddo in mid-March.
What trails are offering tournaments during January and February? Due to logistics and an extreme hatred for Belton (and a lack fo desire for LBJ), I am looking mainly at Travis and Austin. I have a LOT of homework to do on Travis between now and next season......
Trey, I have to warn you. I've ordered an HDS for my front sonar and I keep walking by the Gulp minnows and smoke glitter grubs at Academy. There's also a spinning rod with 8 pound test in the corner of my man cave..... be warned, but also be aware I am perfectly happy throwing shallow crankbaits. I just want to win on Travis. And by winning I mean catching a limit of keepers. Folks can dream, right?
If I throw a crankbait and a jig for 8 hours on Travis in the winter, I would like to think I could luck into a couple swimmers and maybe a kicker fish? Or we can just both throw Bull Shad all day and hope for 3 bites?
TRUTH. I keep forgetting we only need three. I bet we can catch three in a certain part of the lake, but I need to better familiarize myself with it before I start running up there at 70 mph.
I think we may jackpot the Champs out on Travis, I am still looking for a partner for the TTZ trail
