TTZ Tuesday Night & ABM Thursday Night Travis Tourneys???
To the guys at TTZ & ABM:
Any word on if we're going to do the Tues/Thurs night tournaments on Travis this year? The mansfield ramp is open now and there's no telling how long it will stay open, so if you're gonna do it, better jump on it!! My schedule doesn't permit me to fish the Wednesday nighters on Austin this year, but I could do Tues or Thurs nighters!!!

last I heard, folks were waiting for the level to rise where you can navigate the cut and not have to travel all the away around sometimes islands

It's 18 feet deep at the cut now, no need to go around the islands

We went down and checked Travis/Mansfield this week. The cut between Sometimes Islands and the ramp point is easily navigable. Though Windy Point and some other areas still present some challenges in the dark. That being said, we are still considering starting the Tuesday nighters soon, but would like to get an informal idea of the number of boats we would see out there. We'd like to do it if we can get at least 15 boats or better each week. Otherwise the payouts and time/gas involved just don't make it worth most anglers' time. So, if you are interested in fishing Travis Tuesday nighters, please post up.

I've been traveling a lot lately during the week, but that should slow down here pretty soon. I'd be a Travis regular if they started back up.

Yes I would be interested, it's easier for me to get out on Tuesday than on Wednesdays.

well 18ft is pretty deep! shows how much I've been out there lately. Brian, I would like to see them start again. Not sure how many folks have schedule flexibility but I can handle an earlier start time also.

I'm not sure my liver can take back to back nights in my twilight years but I'd like to see the Tues Nighters fire back up. Travis has always been a good change of pace from the hero or zero fishing on Lake Austin.
Also, the Big Bass Rollover has been fun but perhaps we can come up with a new incentive this year; we're open to any ideas/suggestions.

I actually like the normal big bass weekly pot as opposed to the rollover. I know Travis doesn't tend to kick out big fish every week, but it gives sucky anglers like myself a chance to get lucky every week!
I wouldn't mind having a rollover either, but I think it needs to be smaller than 7.77. Maybe like a 5lber or something.
Also, with the amount of sickly skinny fish I've been catching on Travis, I think a 'fun' award may be put $1/entree a week towards the smallest keeper pot.
