Buchanan and Travis report-Crazy sh$t
Saturday-Lake Buchanan- Glen and I arrived to be picked up by Capt Brandon and boat owner, Riley. Also Steve was aboard. We set off to catch fish. We fished from 11am to 4pm. Fished lower end of lake from 25 feet to 45 feet of water. Tough conditions. But managed to find a few fish.
TOTALS: 30 keeper big whites and 2 keeper hybrids. Also threw back over 30 throw backs, mainly 17.99 inch hybrids.
Saturday night: Left my Coachman Motorhome at Dink Pearson Park. Fished lights with Dez and Glen from 8pm to 3am on Sunday morning. Also saw Skeeter SX-190 Alex and friend. Nice to meet you!!!! Fished lights with minnows. Again, tough conditions, but great times on boat.
TOTALS: I caught a dozen under-sized crappie. But kept 2 slab crappie, 2 big whites and 1 LMB that swallowed my minnow. Great to have RV at ramp to crash in..
Sunday PM: RO and Strapper picked me up from Dink. Headed to Bee Creel Saw I found some fish in 30 feet of water. RO hooked and landed a 15lb Flathead catfish on jigging spoon.
TOTALS: 1 Flathead or yellow catfish at 15lbs. Only 3 keeper whites. I threw back several nice bass, caught on jigging spoons.
Overall, good times on lake. Not a lot of fish, but good fun and laughter while fishing.
Robert

Fun day on the water. Got two keper whites trolling green crocodile spoons after failing to jig any, then picked up RH and managed to jig one keeper white and the fat cat and the lmb in 30-40 fow. Surface temp was 55F and visibility 1-2 ft, fairly turbid for LT, but typical this time of year and during droughts. The whites appeared to be bloated with eggs. Should be good fishing soon!

Good report guys. RO go on and admit it. You were giggling like a school girl while fighting that catfish thinking it was a big ol striper!!!

That catfish was a pig, Barry tried to talk you guys out of it but Robert wasn't having any of it. Turned out to be a great day.
