went out bass fishing today with a couple buddies. we all did very well today! alot of fish were caught, and we each caught at least one fish over 4. i also caught 2 gar on cranks and 1 on a rope lure. tons of fun! thanks to Mud Outdoor Center!

this fish was blind in both eyes and looked like it had been attacked by something recently, and in the past. it was also the darkest fish ive ever seen. i had to pop it in the face with a 3/4 oz jig bofore it even knew i had a bait in the water!

Looks like they were releasing water. Awesome day on the water. Just goes to show I have a lot to learn about fishing. Not a master of one thing, but decent at a lot of different ways of fishing.

The water was actually about 2' lower than what I'm used to seeing. I was out there last weekend as well and I think I remember it coming down at like 500 cfm or something like that, which isn't a lot, but this weekend it was waaaaay less. I could actually stand on top of the weir dam and walk across the top with ease. It was kinda a good and bad thing. I found a lot of fish hold up in eddy currents along the banks, but I think they were there because all of the quality lay downs were above the water line!

Chris, you need to holla at me sometime and I'll rent one of MOC's yaks and do that float with you! Looks like a lot of fun!!!
