Just got off the phone with Cindy at Red Top.

Because of health concerns and seasonal slumps, she's closing the store from Oct. 14 - Jan. 4.

I spoke with her a while back and she told me she may have to close for a few months. Red Top Bait has been around for a long while I sure wish business was better for her.

I have two guesses. First would be, the original building had a roof that was painted red. The second guess would be the original owner was a ginger.

Pretty close.

The original roof was red Roll Roofing. Eventually, new owners (maybe Cindy, don't know how many owners there have been) replaced it with white Roll Roofing. Why, is beyond me.
