    ok, an...okuma rtx size 30 spinning reel? 6.6oz...whaddya think of it?

    I jumped on the Gloomis spinning rod that was half off. Paired it up with the shimano ci4 that was on sale too. Added some cabelas 17lb nano and now im set
    LTE for the win

    you really stepped up! i've never had a g.loomis rod in my hand, but i'm sur it's friggin awesome....
    my stinson's are around 9oz, and i wanted something really light...when your gear comes in, i'd like to check it out...that rod is supposed to be light in weight, which i'm looking for...but nobody ever lists how much the rod actually weighs, lol

    hmm....was considering the loomis, but somebody snagged the last one, lol...probably just as well...one thing i find is the more expensive the gear, the more afraid i am to use it, especially lures...the fish in my avatar was caught on a cheap h20 crank, thrown along the rocks and stickups on the shore at falcon...

    i was able to put a paddle handle from a stinson into the rtx, which had a round style...put it on a 6ft allstar...

    ...and wasnt crazy about it...put it on the h20 inshore rod, the dark green 6'8", and bam! perfection! and altho i was hoping to find a 6-footer, this combo is like butter...no lie...
