Galveston Bay Fishing Report- Win a Tarpon Fishing Trip
Prior to the rains we had yesterday fishing has really been great! It will be intersting to see how much freshwater we get once the tides turn back to normal. We've still been focusing on East Bay reefs and shorelines. Wading the south shoreline with topwaters have been producing our bigger fish. She dogs and super spooks have been the go to baits. Drifting has been good as well, 5-6' water over shell. Chartreuse Bass Assasins on 1/4oz jig heads have been the best when fishing out of the boat. This will be the normal pattern through summer as long as we dont get any more rain. The trout should start showing up on the beach front any time now which is great for drive in anglers to get on some good action.
I'm doing a drawing on my facebook page to win a Guided Tarpon Fishing Trip in September 2016. Go to https://www.facebook.com/reavesoutfitters/ to get entered in the drawing. Tarpon season is coming up. We typically start seeing the first run of migrating Tarpon Around June 1st, weather permitting. Texas Tarpon fishing really has been outstanding the past couple of years and I'm looking forward to the upcoming season.
