Man it all depended on where I was fishing, but we caught fish on cranks, top water, and plastic. It's been unreal. I've caught fish from one end the lake to the other. That one six pound fish was caught on a top water bait, and the other big fish were caught on plastic, T/R.
WOW! I guess i'll have to break down, and head out there some day. That is just too much fun. We have to work way too hard on LA for our one or two nice fish. Great job!
Doug, I miss your good company out at fayette! You gotta take me back out there!! Ive already tore the feathers off my YM! lol! Good job on the catches! I got a 10lber red bull at port a....what a fight!!
There is still a lot of schooling action going on, but with this cooler weather up on us, maybe the fish will begin to feed in their normal places again.
I know on Monday, the fish in the schools were big. The fish in the schools on Wednesday were a little smaller, like in the two to three pound range. And on Friday the fish were all small, or the fish we found were any ways. And trust me, on Friday, we found every school of fish that were schooling. The night bite is where we really kicked some butt. And we left the lake right about the time the bigger fish were kicking into high gear. But that’s life, heck there’s always another trip in the forecast.
Going in the morning.
Hope we can find the big ones again............
