Congrats! I've never cracked the 50 mark on Fayettte, but intend to this year. Have you tried plastic swim baits for the larger fish? I had a lot of luck for fish to 7lbs on hollow bodied swim baits on a few trips. Many of the fish would follow the swim bait while not commiting, and then i would catch them on a senko/dinger bait. Again, congrats on putting a beat down on em.

What can I say? another great report. I need to get back out there before the water temp hits 100.

Doug, for how much you fish, you must be retired and/or a millionaire. Even though I still probably wouldn't even catch the numbers you put up even if I fished all day, every day.

Rick wanted to take some pictures, but I said they were too small. The ones we caught during the day were small. but after the sun went down they got bigger. My camera sucks when it comes to taking night shots of fish, so I didn't even bother. Not only that, but we were to dang busy catching to stop long enough to take pictures. LMBO

FF45, you are bound to incite some reaction with the pic of lmb in the cooler for food. But they are delicious. On Fayette, be sure they are less than 14 inches for the grease. Last time we were there, only one of 15 or so was legal eating size. Most Fayette bass are slot sized, fun to catch, but must be C&R'd.

Wish we could have boated another dozen Doug but it was time to go. That drive home was a killer. I guess we could have taken a couple of pics after dark but there was really no need. Hard to stop for a photo when your on fish. All you can think of is unhooking, fixing your worm and casting back out as fast as possible. Besides that we would have been blown 40 yards away in the time it would have taken to smile for the camera. Maybe we will break that 111 fish record another trip?
