Pace bend--anyone??

Anybody know the launching situation at Pace Bend?

Thinking of running up there this weekend, but haven't fished Travis in almost 10 months. Last time I lauched off the bank--just curious if anyone can give me an update.

Tons of launchable spots at Mud Cove right now - 4WD recommended.

I launched there on sunday. There's a bank to the right of mud cove where they have survey flags put up... I was able to pull out in 2wd. For me, the fishing north of Pace Bend was weak... Went past the split and didn't do much good, Cow creek was nasty water with almost no visibility, caught a couple near Briarcliff. Seems like mid-lake is where its at right now.

I am half tempted to head out there tonight and camp. Off work tomorrow. Just don't want to get stuck with 2WD.

I was out there last Friday and saw people launching from Mud Cove. Caught five lmb on minnows off the bank. Not what I was looking for but fun to have my rod bent over!
