I had the same thought today lol but I may wait until after the fat sack is over to do so. I may hit the bird sunday but saturday im leaning toward LA even though the fishing has sucked there.

I don't think yall have been fishing deep enough out there. Don't be afraid to get out to 25-30 ft. Those fatties will stack up deep on structure during the winter months. Find a deep water rock pile and set up camp.

    Yes i need bait suggestions.

Care to make it interesting? $10 in the pot for biggest fish?

I will be in a little black Nissan pickup with "Donohue Horticulture" signs on the door.

If time permits i will load up on tacos.

    Umm...biggest as determined how?

If we are going to measure the fish on a board, take a photo and release them, then compare photos for longest length I'm in.
I think that means someone has to bring a card reader and laptop and everyone has to have a camera and something like a hog trough to measure the fish.
Plus we'll need a secret code that has to show in the photo so we know it was caught that day and we'll need to make a time that it ends.

For bait I'm going to be throwing some deep diving crankbaits (DD22 and DT10, some other deep diving brand I got at Walmart) a blue/black jig, some old time soft jerkbaits, and assorted plastic stuff on a carolina rig plus possibly some dropshot rigs with small plastic worms or grubs.

I was there with tons of tacos but got stood up. Fished a couple hours and was skunked. I'll reload in a few weeks. If this weather keeps up we might get a very early spring and hopefully that will bring some hot action soon. I still need help with locations, baits, rod action. Im tryin to do my homework but zilch.
