Live Bait Places on Travis near Mansfield Dam?

Thinking about live minnow fishing on Lake Travis?

I HAVE PURCHASED LIVE MINNOWS FROM THIS PLACE:
    Marshall Ford Food Mart
    (512) 266-3142
    4610 Ranch Road 620 North
    Austin, TX 78732

I do not know of any other places near Mansfield Dam or Cypress Creek...

    Any more idea's?

    PS:....NO I AM NOT USING LIVE BAIT FOR THE BASS-O-REE... ;D ;D

Where is the shack on Cesar Chavez? I'm taking some people out tomorrow night and minnows would be...... Helpful/easier to fish with.

If you're headed to Dink, there's a great place on the left about 1/4 mile after you turn onto Lohman's Ford. It's a service station - Texaco? They typically have good fresh ones, reasonable.

Also, seining for minnows is a lot of fun. Big thanks to RO, who showed me how to properly rig the net and poles. RO, I re-rigged my seine about a month ago and we caught a bunch of nice minnows! (No crappie that night, though.)

I use a 1/4 inch mesh cast net to get minnows. Seining works good but you need two people. Right now you could just use a dip net on about any lake around here and get minnows.

Yes sir, Hillside Grocery sells minnows, first convenient store on left off Lohmans, a Texaco.
