Manor TX Fishing Ponds

Another bad point about East Metro Park is that they close at 9pm and open at 9am. In my opinion the fish only bite when the park is closed. Does anyone know if someone really locks the gates or not?

hey erock i am down with you dude i chose to move over here cause it is easier to get to everything and it is close to my restaurant. but thats is just the way some people are man it's not worth your breath or time

Stickyfingers, I agree with you, those are pretty inconvenient times to be closed in relation to prime fishing times. Most City parks close around nine or ten for some reason. I would be willing to test it though if the fish turned on after closing hours.

I have fished these ponds multiple times. I always caught at least 5 fish, and one morning I slayed about 15-20. They have all been small fish 1lb up to 2-1/2lbs, all on soft plastics. Small, but always fun to catch a bunch.

what pond.? are the bass in bullfrog pond or the other ones.

He also said they stock it with cats every other Thursday.

I just got back from there and I spoke with a park ranger and he said they stock it the third Thursday of every month.

Caught a couple 1 pounders with a spinnerbait near some brush, that was about it.
I did see a couple schools of very large carp probably 3-4 pounds.
